The Valley Of Kashmir Have Nothing But Demanding Solutions

It's blood on the street of Kashmir when it seems things getting better. The past two months have exposed the restless rage of the state where 64 people died in 65days. This situation has produced a vacuum. The violence in Kashmir had dipped to its lowest level since the separation movement began in 1989. 2008 Assembly Election and 2009 Lok Shaha Election is a clear indication that there is no problem. When Omar Abdullah became Chief Minister, he represents a symbol e of hope.

A series of unfortunate events starts when more than 50 people died in unrest over the land allotted for Amaranth shrine in a Muslim area of the state. This time the valley erupted over the killing of Tufail Mattoo in police action during a stone-pitting protest.  Stone throwing is the main form of Kashmir protest. IF it was the gun in 1989, it is Stone Age in Kashmir now.

This time there was no clear trigger event. People came out even when a local militant was killed targeted state police and paramilitary forces who perform their duties. Although protest are fundamental right of the people but it have not gone out of control. Non-violence is the best path of the freedom and Indian history proof itself when we are all free from two hundred years of British rules.

The people of Jammu and Kashmir have elected a government and they must repose their faith in that government to find solutions to their problems. The actual problem is the gap between promise and performance. It is not the time to act in haste and panic. The state and central government needs to reach out to the people who have elected them. Millions of unemployed youngsters of Kashmir who have seen nothing but conflict and clamors are demanding solutions from the self-serving politicians.

Indian Tribal Taken For A Ride By Rebels

Indian tribal movements have a fascinating history and they are nothing new. More than a century ago Birsa Munda led a community of his tribesmen in a violent blitzing that was Munda Upsurge. Indian history is filling with hundreds of such rebellions by various trebles taking place at regular intervals. The latest unrest is no different but definitely much more dangerous.

The present upsurge is both a combination of a tribal movement and Maoist one. Maoist forms only the most militant end of a spectrum of tribal movement. A huge majority of the Maoist cadre is made up of tribal people. But they do not represent all tribal movements. Unlike the Maoist, tribal people are not fighting to overthrow the Indian state. They do not what the Indian state is. They are fighting to preserve their homelands, their mountains, forests and rivers.

The Maoist‘s goals are different. They have created false impression that they are saviors and messiahs of the tribal people. The tribal people have been taken for a ride by the Maoist. If the movement exclusively tribal, it would be easier to cruse. It is non-tribal Maoist and other activists hope to consolidate their military strength and their revolution.

The most effective way to deal with these issues is to adopt all-out efforts to improve the economic conditions of the trebles. The idea is to wear them away from the Maoist. Economic and social developments are fundamental duty of the state. We should to be implemented it with spirit.

India Let Grain Rot Instead Of Feeding Poor

While the country reworks the Food Security Bill to ensure sufficient food for all, the wastage of grain during storage, transit and on account of pilferage theft still remains a major issue. In the past four year, above 12 lacks tones of food grains have been lost either poor storage facilities or in transit across India. Near 50000 MT wheat declared unfit for human consumption. It’s food that could have staved off hunger for more than half million India – for a whole year.

In any other country, allowing so much grain to go to waste would be seen as criminal negligence. It is a crime to waste food in poor country. If you can not store the gain give it to poor people to eat. While millions in India go to bed hungry, food grains are rotting in go downs. We have two opposites things in India, one is that have seen highest food inflation in three decades while other buffer and strategic reserve food grain in go downs.

Food grains is rotting in the go downs of the FCI but people are not getting their legitimate share of grain. India’s public distribution system is the joint responsibilities of the central and state government. The center should release food grain and state have to distribute their food grains to the people no matter how cost and effort is required. This single decision will ensure that equivalent value of food grain will rot or millions of Indian sleeps hungry. This will nictitates hunger in the country but have a direct impact on food inflation. Indian authorities should aware the problems of the nation is facing.
